Scheduled for May 20th 2015 at the Embassy Suites in Portland, the 2015 HIMSS Oregon Annual Spring Conference will focus on How Data Is Transforming the Patient Experience. According to HIMSS Oregon "the Spring Conference will address a variety of these challenges in various formats including case studies, impactful patient experience stories, and engaging panels with industry leaders. This event promises to be an interactive learning experience that will include all levels of healthcare, including CIOs, patients and others sharing their experiences of how to overcome current data challenges and prepare for future data obstacles."
Mr. McDaniel's keynote address: Healthcare 2025 - Transformation to a New Model of Care, will give insights into what healthcare innovation means to the industry by identifying new healthcare delivery models to consumers, the technology that's needed and establishing new business models to operate more efficiently.
The goal of the Healthcare Innovation session is to highlight and discuss three areas that require innovation or "out of the box" thinking. They include:
- Organization transformation and management styles and skills needed to enable transformation
- Delivery model transformation focused on the individual and not the patient
- Technology required to transform and support new organization and delivery models of care
