Healthcare IT consultancy the HCI Group promotes 20-year industry veteran to vice president for mid-Atlantic region

Key leadership position aligns organization for future growth in region

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – January 8, 2014 – Jacksonville-based the HCI Group, a leading provider of healthcare information technology strategy and enterprise consulting services to healthcare organizations, has promoted Michael Ganovski, formerly director of business development, to regional vice president for the eight-state mid-Atlantic region.

In this role, Ganovski will prospect, identify and close new business opportunities with hospitals and health systems in the region, managing the entire sales process, from opportunity identification to contract negotiation and agreement execution.

“Since joining the HCI Group as director of business development in early 2013, Michael has been a key part of our success and we are thrilled to promote him to this senior position,” said Ricky Caplin, CEO of the HCI Group. “The mid-Atlantic region is already home to several of our cornerstone clients including Johns Hopkins Medicine, where we are consulting on an Epic electronic medical record implementation project. The area will continue to be an important part of our growth strategy for 2014.”

Ganovski brings to the HCI Group more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare IT and sales industries, with special emphasis on client and vendor relations for large-scale EHR projects. Prior to joining the HCI Group, Ganovski served as a regional director for Beacon Partners, one of the largest healthcare consulting firms in North America, where he was part of a key mid-Atlantic region expansion team responsible for securing new clients. He also served as regional vice president of sales for Santa Rosa Consulting, a national provider of IT and management consulting services to the healthcare industry. Additionally, Ganovski served as director of business development for AT&T’s Healthcare/Wi-Fi Services team, as account executive for electronic medical record and practice management systems for NextGen Healthcare and as regional sales manager for GE Healthcare - Perioperative Services.
