Healthcare Clinical Informatics Group, which Caplin and Jones founded in Jacksonville in 2009, is a consulting firm for hospitals and other health care providers converting to digital records. That business model has proved fruitful for HCI, which they say has recently won several multimillion-dollar contracts, and — seeing an untapped market in the United Kingdom — opened an office in Wales this year.
