Diverse array of honors bestowed upon Caplin by Consulting Magazine, KPMG and University of Florida’s Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center.

Jacksonville, Florida – March 30, 2016 – The HCI Group, an industry-leading healthcare IT services consultancy, today announced that company CEO Ricky Caplin has earned top honors from three distinctive organizations, all recognizing his successful leadership style and entrepreneurial prowess.

Caplin was the first North Florida business professional named as one of Consulting Magazine’s 35 under 35 winners; he was chosen as one of 40 CEOs to participate in KPMG’s “QuantumShift” program; and, for the second year in a row, he was selected as a Gator100 honoree by the University of Florida (UF) Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center, which recognizes the 100 fastest-growing, Gator-owned or Gator-led businesses in the world each year.

“These honors bestowed upon us recognize the effort put forth by the entire HCI team as we continue to serve the healthcare IT community in the most effective, valuable way possible,” said Caplin. “They further our mission to provide our clients with the experience, resources and solutions they need to take an innovative approach to healthcare IT.”

 About Caplin’s honors:

  • Consulting Magazine selected its third annual Rising Stars of the Profession 35 Under 35 winners. Caplin was chosen as the winner for the healthcare category. The magazine recognized HCI’s exponential growth under Caplin’s leadership, which has positioned HCI as one of Healthcare Informatics top-100 highest earning healthcare IT companies.
  • KPMG announced the finalists for its “QuantumShift” program, and Caplin was one of 40 entrepreneurs selected for the rigorous five-day developmental experience. The “QuantumShift” program challenges members to improve their leadership approaches, inspire their employees, maximize growth opportunities, and take their businesses to the next level. The program is run on May 1-6, and guided by faculty from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
  • The UF Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center announced its second annual Gator100 honors on Feb. 19, and Caplin was chosen as a recipient for the second year in a row.

This has been a banner year for The HCI Group as it was also named the first official HIMSS Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model [EMRAM] Global Education provider on February 16.

Following Caplin’s selection as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and the many additional honors in early 2016, HCI is well positioned for yet another year of exceptional growth.
